Barbara A Healy LaMontagne

BARBARA A LAMONTAGNE Barbara A. LaMontagne 76, of Manchester, died at Mount Carmel Healthcare Center after a lengthy illness. She was born in Manchester on April 3, 1934 the daughter of Thomas and Anna (Urban) Healy. She was a graduate of St. Joseph’s High School for Girls.

She was married to Col. Edward LaMontagne USMC (Ret.) in 1955 and as a military wife lived in countries around the world including Germany, Greece, Spain and Cuba and hosted many military gatherings. She was an amazing cook and had recipes published in the Manchester Union Leader.

Family members include her husband of Manchester, her three grandchildren Edward LaMontagne III, Joseph LaMontagne and Julia LaMontagne all of Manchester, and her two daughters-in-law Dena Vestal of Manchester and Debra LaMontagne of Revere, MA. She was pre-deceased by her two sons Edward LaMontagne Jr. and Thomas LaMontagne.

A time of visitation will be held on Friday January 21, 2011 from 10:30 to 11AM at Mount Carmel Healthcare Center Chapel 235 Myrtle St. Manchester followed immediately by a Memorial Mass. Private burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Bedford at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Monastery of the Precious Blood 700 Bridge St. Manchester, NH 03104. The McHugh Funeral Home 283 Hanover St. is assisting the family with the arrangements.
