Yvette Monastersky

Born in Newark, Yvette lived in Metuchen for 38 years before moving to Monroe.

Yvette was a Kindergarten teacher in the Belleville school system, and later a preschool-Kindergarten teacher in private nursery schools. She also worked for Hanover Insurance in Piscataway until her retirement in 1995.

Yvette enjoyed playing mahjong, doing needlepoint, and the beach.

Yvette was predeceased by her parents Max and Sophie (née Brownstein) Mintz, her husband Gerald Monastersky, her brother Barry Mintz, and grandchild Nate Lair.

She is survived by her children: Julie, Alan (Dianza), Alyssa (Jeff), and her grandchildren: Brett, Jason, and Nickolas.

Arrangements will be private.
