Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Wendy lived as a grandmother in Monroe Township, New Jersey.
Wendy Panensky celebrated an extraordinary life as a beloved daughter, friend, wife, sister, aunt, mother and grandmother.
Wendy was a fiercely independent and confident woman. She was a patriot. She was a good friend.
Born to the late Sam Schumer and Irene Horenstein, Wendy leaves behind to honor her memory and carry on her legacy her children Stuart and his wife Alicia, Wendy’s three cherished grandchildren, Maryssa, Alexander and Jack, and Howard and his wife Theresa, and Wendy’s dearest grandson Henry and granddaughter on the way.
Private graveside services were held at Floral Park Cemetery, South Brunswick on September 24, 2023.
Shiva will be observed at Stuart's home on Tuesday after 5pm. Shiva will resume at Howard's home on Wednesday after 7pm.
