Sandy, as she was known, was born in New Brunswick in 1939. She was a graduate of Highland Park High School and Douglas College, now part of Rutgers.
After graduation she taught 4th grade at Benjamin Franklin Elementary school. She was an accomplished singer, piano player and talented artist. Sandy had a love for all animals and helped many strays throughout her life.
Sandy is survived by her spouse Jerry Solomon of 62 years; son Craig Solomon; and daughter Marni Solomon.
Sandy was preceded in death by her brother Sterling Kaye and parents Emanuel and Helen Kaye.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at 12:30 PM at Beth Israel Cemetery, 1098 Woodbridge Center Drive, Woodbridge, New Jersey 07095.
No formal public shiva will be observed.
