Mr. Dougherty is survived by his son Thomas Dougherty and his wife Elena; son Roy Dougherty and his wife Diane; 5 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
Royal was preceded in death by his wife Margaret Dougherty and their granddaughter Desiree Dougherty.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, 44 Wilson Avenue, Manalapan, New Jersey 07726.
A Mass of Christian Burial will occur on Friday, November 11, 2022 at 10:00 AM at St. Gregory the Great Roman Catholic Church, 4620 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, New Jersey 08690
The burial will be held on Monday, November, 21, 2023 at 10:30am at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, Florida 33513.
