Born in New York City, he resided in Island Park, NY and East Brunswick, NJ before settling in Freehold 8 years ago.
Prior to retiring, he worked in the food industry for his entire career. Most recently, he was a cafeteria manager for Automatic Catering in Edison, NJ.
A veteran of the United States Army Air Corps, he honorably served our country as a Corporal from 1942-1946. Specifically, he served in the 9th Photo Reconnaissance Squadron during World War II, during which he was stationed in India and Burma. He remained involved in veterans organizations throughout his life. He served as the Commander of both the Jewish War Veterans Post 972 of Marlboro and the Garden State Basha of the China-Burma-India Veterans Association. He was also a member Veterans of Foreign War Post 133 of East Brunswick.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Ida in 1958; his second wife, Angela in 2005; and his daughter, Georgeann Coslick in 2011.
Surviving are his son-in-law, Randy Coslick; 2 grandchildren: Jesse Coslick and Lindsay Smith; 4 great-grandchildren: Abram, Penny, Wesley, and Cooper; and a brother, Jack Abrams.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, 44 Wilson Avenue, Manalapan. Interment will immediately follow at Beth David Cemetery, Elmont, NY.
