Michael was employed by the New York Times for 40 years and is a member of Local Union No. 3 IBEW.
Michael is survived by his wife Lea Stein of 60 years; daughter Stacey Stein; daughter Tracey Garrett and her husband Christopher; daughter Joy Stein; grandson Michael Garrett; granddaughter Madison Garrett; and sister Hermine Caravello and her husband Joseph.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Mollie Stein.
A private service will be held on Tuesday, October 15, 2024.
Shiva will be observed at the residence of Michael and Lea Stein on Tuesday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM; on Wednesday and Thursday from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM; Saturday from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM; and on Sunday from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Michael's memory may be made to the American Heart Association (www.heart.org).
