It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Louis Harold Elbert, age 87, of Manchester, New Jersey. He was born in Holly Hill, South Carolina on November 13, 1936 and passed away on November 27, 2023.
Lou is survived by his daughter Donna Elbert; son Scott Elbert and his wife Ivy; and his two grandchildren Michael and Lauren.
Mr. Elbert was preceded in death by his wife Regina Elbert in 2020; his parents Morris and Clara Elbert; and sister Rita Goodman.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 1, 2023 at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, 44 Wilson Avenue, Manalapan, New Jersey 07726. The burial will follow at 12:15 PM at Floral Park Cemetery, 104 Deans Rhode Hall Road, South Brunswick, New Jersey 08852.
Shiva will be observed at the residence of Scott and Ivy Elbert, 120 Pension Road, Manalapan, New Jersey 07726 on Friday from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM; Saturday from 4:30 PM to 9:00 PM; on Sunday from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM; on Monday and Tuesday from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM; and on Wednesday from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
