Born in the Bronx, NY, he grew up in New York City and resided in East Windsor, NJ with his family before settling in Old Bridge.
Prior to retiring 10 years ago, he was an Associate Director for ABC Television in New York City, where he worked for 45 years. He was also a proud member of the Directors Guild of America and belonged to the Knights of Pythias - Centennial Battleground Lodge. Jerry was an avid Giants and Mets fan and loved blackjack and horse racing.
He was predeceased by his parents, Alex and Esther; and his sister, Gloria.
Surviving are his children: Alicia Cohen and her husband Adam, and Melanie Morton; 3 beloved grandchildren: Hannah, Ryan, and Harper; a brother, Stanley; and a brother-in-law, Ralph.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11AM at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, 44 Wilson Avenue, Manalapan, NJ. Interment will follow at Floral Park Cemetery, South Brunswick.
