He served in the US Army and later married Phyllis and moved to Brooklyn, where they began their family, later settling in Metuchen, NJ, where he lived for over 30 years.
Ira is survived by his sons, Robert, Gregg and wife Maria, Andrew and wife Kristy, five grandchildren, whom he loved dearly, Layla, Noah, Grace, Joseph and William.(His grandpuppies Louie, Maggie, and Nico too)
He always had a big presence and will be greatly missed.
Remembrances may be made in his name to The American Cancer Society.
A funeral service will be held Friday, January 15, 2021 from 11:00am to 12:00pm at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, 44 Wilson Ave, Manalapan, NJ 07726.
Burial will follow at Beth David Cemetery 300 Elmont Road Elmont, NY
