Herb Mayer, who peacefully passed away at the age of 88 after a brave battle due to his age. Surrounded by the love of his family, Herb's legacy lives on through the cherished memories he leaves behind.

Herb is survived by his devoted wife, Anita, who stood by his side through thick and thin. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and shared adventures. His enduring spirit will forever be present in the hearts of his children, Glenn and Michael, and his daughter-in-law, Deborah. Herb was a source of wisdom, strength, and unwavering support for his family.

As a grandfather, Herb took immense joy in the presence of his grandchildren, Samantha and Andrew. He was a beacon of love and guidance, imparting valuable life lessons and creating lasting bonds that will be treasured for generations to come.

Herb Mayer was not only a loving family man but also an exceptional friend to all who had the privilege of knowing him. His warm smile, kind heart, and genuine nature endeared him to everyone he met. Herb's passion for life was evident in his love for spending quality time with his family, creating memories that will be forever etched in the hearts of those who had the pleasure of sharing those moments with him.

A celebration of Herb's life will take place at a Graveside Services on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Congregation Agudath Achim Cemetery, Business Route #33, Freehold, NJ 07728. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to [charity of choice] in Herb's honor.

May Herb Mayer rest in eternal peace, his legacy living on in the hearts of those who were touched by his kindness, warmth, and enduring love.

Herbert is survived by his wife, Anita Mayer; his son Glenn (Debbie) Mayer; and his son Michael Mayer; his grandchildren Samantha and Andrew.

The Period of Mourning will be observed after the burial at the residence of Glenn and Debbie Mayer, 85 Tricentennial Drive, Freehold, New Jersey from 3-9pm, then on Friday will be at the Mayer residence, 31 Harwood Road, Monroe Township, New Jersey from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.
