Services will be held at 11am on Tuesday October 8th at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels in Manalapan, New Jersey. Interment will follow at King Solomon Cemetery, Clifton New Jersey.
Born Esther Seltzer on June 5th 1923 in Catskill, New York, and raised in Garfield, New Jersey. Married to Sidney Crastnopol in 1948 and lived in Bloomfield, New Jersey for 16 years, then Verona for 20 years, before moving to Greenbrier in Marlboro in 1988.
She was a homemaker, loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who volunteered for many community organizations, including past president of Essex County council of Jewish Women. Esther had a generous heart and loving spirit. She was a friend and second mother to many. Her home was always open with food and love. Esther was an inspiration to all.
Preceded in death by her loving husband Sidney of 64 years in 2012. Surviving are her daughter and son in law, Beth Crastnopol and Jeff Cotton of Needham Massachusetts; son and daughter in law Jeffrey and Mary Beth Crastnopol of Orlando Florida; son and daughter in law David Crastnopol and Robin Eckel of Doylestown, Pennsylvania; sister in law Millie Nitzberg of Hollywood, Florida; 8 grandchildren Sarah, Rebecca, Rachel, Hava, Michal, Benjamin, Melissa, and Lauren, and 8 great grandchildren.
Shiva will be held Tuesday evening 7-9pm at Esther's Home 93 Clubhouse Rd, Marlboro, NJ, Wednesday 7pm at David Crastnopol's Home, 3850 Ruckman Way, Doylestown, PA and Thursday 7:30-9:30pm at Beth Crastnopol's Home, 368 Hunnewell St., Needham, MA.
