Donald is survived by his son Lawrence Frantz (Judith), his daughter Deena Levine (Scott), his sister Linda Frantz, and his six grandchildren.
Donald was preceded in death by his loving wife Paula Frantz.
Donald practiced Orthodontics for over 40 years at 35 Throckmorton Lane in Old Bridge, NJ.
He graduated with honors as the first in his class at Temple University School of Dentistry and was elected to membership in Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the national honorary dental society. He received the American Academy of Dental Medicine Award for showing the greatest achievement, proficiency and promise in the field of dental medicine: the Alumni Prize for attaining the highest average for four years: the Alpha Omega Scholarship Award for achieving the highest scholastic standing for four years.
Donald served as a Captain in the US Army.
Donald was a devoted husband, son, brother, father, grandfather, and friend. He was wonderful man who had an enormous heart. He was well liked by all. As a father, he was selfless, and I say without a doubt that his greatest joy came from his kids and grandchildren.
Donald was a passionate golfer, skier, loved a good western movie, and a fine wine. He loved travelling with our Mom. He loved lemon Danishes, Halva, and dark chocolate.
Our hearts are filled with tremendous grief and our families feel such gratitude from the outpouring of support at this time.
