She was born in Arlington Massachusetts and grew up in Cambridge Massachusetts. She graduated from Cambridge Rindge and Latin High School in 1962.
She was a resident of Florida from 1974-1986 until moving back to Massachusetts in 1986 where she worked for National Grid until retiring in 2007. After retiring she moved back to Florida where she resided for the past 12+ years.
She enjoyed traveling, going out to dinner and the movies, playing Bocce and Bingo and spending time with her friends. She loved the Dallas Cowboys and butterflies.
Her most happiest and cherished times were those spent with her family and the past six summers in NJ.
Veronica is survived by her three children, Kim A. (Wieneke) Burke and her husband William of Little Egg Harbor, NJ, Dawn Marie (Wieneke) Berio and her husband Philip of Middleborough, MA , James A. Wieneke and his partner Scott Russo of Tuckerton, NJ, her three beloved and cherished grandchildren Sydney Marie Burke, Hayden Berio and Dylan Berio, her former husband James E. Wieneke, her sisters Dolores Bourke of New Jersey and Marilyn Foley of Cambridge, Massachusetts, her brother James Voutiritsa of Cambridge, Massachusetts, many nieces and nephews and her best friend of 72 years, Billy Bureau.
She was predeceased by her father Robert T. Voutiritsa, her mother Agatha (Andrews), her sisters Roberta Kanz and Janet Sparrow, her brothers William Voutiritsa and Robert Voutiritsa, and her husband James H. McGowan.
Veronica was cremated and there were no final services.
She will be greatly missed but fondly remembered by everyone.
