Stephen C. Sheft, 67, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2013. He was born in Passaic, grew up in Montclair and had lived in Manahawkin since 1986. Steve served in the NJ National Guard and graduated from Keystone College and Rider University. He worked as an insurance claims manager for 35 years.

Predeceased by his father, Thaddeus J. Sheft, he is survived by his wife of 30 years, Michele; his mother, Norma; a daughter, Gerilyn Vangi and her husband Tom; his cherished grandchildren, Ariana, Evan and Connor; a sister, Kathryn Dunn and her husband Joe; two nephews, Jeff Dunn and Alex Dunn and his wife, Katy.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, Sept 13, at 6:00 pm at the Manahawkin United Methodist Church, 116 Stafford Ave., Manahawkin.
