Glenn was born on August 13th, 1949 to Ruth Nicholson and Bobby Lloyd in Greensboro, N.C. Glenn left home at a young age and made his way to N.J. No one understood the true meaning of hard work like he did. He started his own business in Waretown N.J. “Glenn’s Pump & Well Repair” which served the Ocean County area for over 30 years. He was a staple in his community and always gave back. Glenn showed kindness and love to so many and will be truly missed. Many will remember his southern accent, his funny catch phrases like “I hope all your kids are born naked!” or maybe that he installed a new well for you, but his closest family and friends will never forget his beautiful, kind, sweet soul, and the love he had for them.
Glenn was predeceased by his wife Joanne Lloyd. He is survived by brothers Ray and Ed Lloyd and their spouses Karen and Linda, his sister Rhonda St. John. One of Glenn’s greatest joys was being a father to Kimberly Scheffer and grandfather to Alexis Morello, Lindsey Byrnes, and William Scheffer III. He adored and treasured the moments he had with his great grandchildren Greyson Morello and Lincoln Byrnes. Glenn’s legacy is a life well lived and a family that knew real love.
In lieu of a traditional service Glenn requested everyone share memories and moments with one another. He cherished moments with loved ones the most.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.shinnfuneralhome.com for the Lloyd family.
