Dick was predeceased by his wife Carol. He is survived by his loving daughter and son-in-law, Christine and Rob Frinzi, he was a devoted Poppy to his granddaughter Cayla. He is also survived by his life partner Karen Thoma, her daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Tom Pye and Karen’s son and daughter-in-law Richard and Sandy Thoma, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Dick worked as a pharmaceutical warehouse manager for Ciba-Geigy, from where he retired at the young age of 52. It was at that time that Dick and Carol fulfilled their life dream to live at the Jersey Shore.
He was an avid golfer, he enjoyed going to Atlantic City, fishing, camping and he loved watching his Western movies.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024 from 11:00AM-1:00PM at Thos L. Shinn Funeral Home, 10 Hilliard Dr., Manahawkin, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Richard’s name may be sent to Friends of Southern Ocean County Animal Shelter.
