Beloved son, brother, nephew, cousin, friend, and Uncle-to-be, Matthew’s highest values in his life were family, friendship, and loyalty. He displayed these values with the “Italian horn” he kept on his neck and keychain, the red rose and “family” tattoo that adorned his arm, and in his actions as a man that would show up at your house at all hours of the night when you needed it, and was never stingy with the words “I love you.”
He was an Eagle Scout, avid Eagles and Yankees fan and wanted the world to know they should “never bet the Jets.” He loved baseball and football, loved to work out at the gym, go crabbing, and spend time with the friends that he truly viewed as family.
Matthew loved doggy kisses and snuggles, especially from “Brea,” his 100-pound chocolate lab. He was always the life of the party who would light up a room with his million-dollar smile. He was always quick to wrap his arms around you and squeeze you with a big bear hug. He was never without the rosary beads in his backpack.
Matt lived his life on the edge always searching for a belonging and a place to hang his hat. He finally found his place and is at peace with God, his family and friends, and all the Angels in heaven.
Matthew was pre-deceased by his grandparents, Alfred & Susan Pellegrino and Emil & Mary Cicchettti, his uncles, Vincent, Alfred & Bill and cousin, Gayle.
Matthew leaves behind his beloved parents, Patricia and Anthony, his loving brother and sister-in-law, Anthony Jr. and Colleen, his Great Aunt Rose, his aunts Gerri, Barbara, Carol, and his uncle Richard, as well as his many loving cousins, lifelong friends and his faithful companion, Brea.
