Mary Lou Platt, 92, entered eternal life on December 30th, 2022. Born August 8,1930 in Philadelphia, PA., to Mary (nee Browning) and Louis Schoeffling. Eldest of seven and proud to be named Mary Lou after both parents, as last surviving child, she was predeceased by parents and all siblings.
In Philadelphia she met and on September 30, 1950 married the love of her life, Arthur J. Platt, then moved family to Beach Haven, NJ and started a business. In 1985 business in hands of next generation gave Mary Lou and Art time to travel worldwide. They discovered Pensacola, FL., and enjoyed a home in Pedido for the winters, returning to Beach Haven in the summer to help with the family business including 2022.
While in Pensacola, Mary Lou was an avid volunteer with over 10,000 hours at Baptist Hospital, Southwest Branch Library, Lighthouse & Maritime Museum, TT Wentworth and other places that benefited from her boundless energy from October thru June. Sunday Service at Church of Christ started the week where after she would enjoy the camaraderie with her Forever Sisters, Verna, Carole, Marilyn, Bonnie, JoAnn, Annette, Faye, Joan, Rosemary and others. Friendship was cherished as with neighbors Cynthia and Ron.
On December 18, 1997, her husband of 48 years, Art passed away, and now Mary Lou and Art will be together with sons, ENS. Arthur J. Platt Jr. USN(3/8/84); infant David John Platt, (1/7/65); and daughter Monica Platt (12/2/99).
Survived and loved by daughters Margie Anne Barron of Van Nuys, CA., and Mary Lou with husband Greg Krewson of Beach Haven, NJ, and Grandchildren Brian, Darren, Gregory and Mary Lou Krewson and great grandchild Andrea Krewson.
Burial will take place at Holy Innocents Memorial Garden in Beach Haven, NJ, when her grandson returns from oversea duty this Spring.

Atlantic Ave., Beach Haven, NJ, or Innerarity Point Church of Christ, 13250 Gulf Beach Hwy, Pensacola FL., 32507 would be appreciated in memory of our loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend Mary Lou Platt.
