Mary Lawton passed away peacefully at home on October 26, 2016, after a courageous 3 year battle with cancer. She was 60 years old. Born in Dumont Hospital to John and Winifred McQuade on June 26, 1956, Mary would become the oldest of four daughters for the couple. Mary was a loving woman who would help anyone she could. She was like a second mother to her younger sisters and continued to have a loving, nurturing soul her whole life. Everyone lucky enough to know her knew her as a sweet, caring woman. Her belief in God and her family support kept her strong in the face of cancer. Mary was never one to complain or show others that she was not feeling well and until the very end she cared about others so deeply and would always make sure everyone else was doing okay even when she wasn't.
She became a Grandmother a year ago when her son Christopher and his fiance Amanda welcomed a daughter that was named Lillian Mary Lawton in her honor. She adored Lily and being a grandmother gave her such joy and delight.
