In 1956 she married the love of her life, Jack Bertram, and went on to have four children. Mary and Jack started their life together in South Seaside Park where they built a house. They then raised their children in the Outcalt section of Monroe, owned a gas station in Helmetta , and eventually retired in Waretown.
She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years,Jack Bertram, her son, Bill Bertram, and her daughter Ann Bertram. Mary was also predeceased by her mom Francis McDowell and dad Peter Pultro and also by her brother Salvatore Pultro. We can only imagine the beautiful greetings she received from those loved ones as she entered the gates of heaven.
She is survived by daughters Jayne Kerrigan and her husband Jack Kerrigan of Howell and Nancy Wall and her husband Kelly Wall of Clayroot, NC. She is also survived by her 7 grandchildren Dan Kerrigan, Steve Bertram, Chris Barton, Dave Bertram, Janine Kerrigan-Eldridge, Jason Barton, Heather Agnetti and her 10 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind a sister, Marguerite Costa and her cousin Jacqueline Bergen (who was like a sister to her) along with many loving nieces and nephews.
Family meant everything to Mary. They were her entire life. Her passing has left a huge hole in the hearts of those that loved her.
As per Mary’s last wishes, a graveside service will take place on Wednesday, March 15 th at 11:00 am at Ocean County Memorial Park 280 Wells Mill Rd., Waretown, NJ.
