John is survived by his beloved Christine Cathcart, his loving step daughters Christine Denison and Stacey D. Pulvirenti and his 2 former son-in-laws Jason Denison and Massimo Pulvirenti and his cherished grandchildren Addison and Max Pulvirenti and Harrison Denison. He is also survived by his brother Lou Kasitz and sister Joann Higgins and several nieces and nephews.
Formerly of Flourtown, PA., John and his family would vacation in Beach Haven in the summer months, where they would be on their summer boat. He owned and operated a successful business in Flourtown, Swan Drapery, where he would design and install custom made drapes. He attended Philadelphia School of Art.
John was a veteran in the U.S. Navy where he proudly served his country during the Vietnam war.
From a young age John had a love of boats and boating, he had a unique way of docking his boats, no one else could ever do it as well as he. He had a love of sports cars, especially Mustangs and he was an avid animal lover.
In lieu of flowers, donations in John’s name may be made to New Jersey Maritime Museum (donations are tax deductible) and or Friends of Southern Ocean County Animal Shelter.
A Memorial Service will be announce at a later date, after which his cremains will be scattered in the Atlantic City Inlet by the U.S. Navy in honor of his service to our country.
