She was an extremely versatile woman; she enjoyed gardening and camping; she loved opera and was a classical pianist. She was a horseback rider and enjoyed telling stories of her days riding horses. She was an amazing cook, and loved sports and nature; she was a connoisseur of and knowledgeable about many cultures of the world, especially Native American, second only to Japanese, so much so that she studied the Japanese language and Native American cultures. She will be remembered for her great sense of humor, generosity, and love of telling stories. Although she was just a down to earth woman, her motto was “Never settle!”
Johanna was a woman who “did it her way.”
Above all she did in her lifetime, what brought her much joy and happiness was her family. The times spent together were very special to her. She will be greatly missed.
