She was a Den Mother in the local Cub Scout Troop while they lived in Rutgers Village in New Brunswick. She and John spent many summers on Long Beach Island where they were very active in the Beach Haven Park Yacht Club as well as regular golfers at Ocean Acres Golf Club.
Jeanne did extensive genealogy on her family and compiled enough research to complete a book on her family history. Her research leads her back as far as 1400 in England, finding ancestors that were connected to the Farleigh Hungerford Castle in Somerset England. Her love of US history extended to her membership in the Great John Mathis chapter of the DAR where she held an appointment status. She held membership in the Order of the Eastern Star. Jeanne and John were active members of Ocean Community Church in Manahawkin New Jersey.
Jeanne and her husband John traveled the US, Canada and Europe during their retirement. Her warm, engaging, infectious personality made her a joy to be around and attracted many friends. Her love of her husband and two sons was the very center of her. She was Mom and Nana to us.
