Daniel is survived by Evelyn, his beloved wife of 62 years, his devoted daughters, Denise Gammer and her husband Robert, Diane Riccardi and Doreen Bracken and her husband Scott. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Marissa, Scottie, Michael, and Steven as well as his many loving nieces and nephews.
Dan was a proud veteran of the Korean War, serving his country in the U.S army.
He was an avid NY Yankee fan, he enjoyed going to Monmouth Racetrack and Atlantic City. He loved his cigars, and wine. He was meticulous in all that he did, especially when it came to his home. He painted his house himself, and took care of all the gardening.
Daniel was a devoted husband, father and poppy and will be greatly missed.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Daniel’s name may be sent to Deborah Heart and Lung Hospital.
Daniel’s family would like to give a special thank you to all the doctors that showed him compassion and for the wonderful care they gave him and to all his friends and neighbors in the Ocean Acre Community for all their kindness and love for Daniel and Evelyn.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 from 2:00-4:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm at Thos L. Shinn Funeral Home, 10 Hilliard Dr., Manahawkin, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be held 11:00am on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at St. Mary of the Pines Church, 100 Bishop Lane, Manahawkin with burial to follow at Brig. General William C. Doyle Veteran Memorial Cemetery.
