My Dearest Bonnie , I am so heartbroken to hear the news of your passing ! You were one of the best RNs I have ever known and worked with at CMC surgical division for nearly twenty years , your compassion for the patient was incredible! You taught me all the ups and downs of nursing and I will never forget the joy we had together in the hospital and at the lunches we shared ! Bonnie Jean was a great person, nurse & friend, who with her passing has left a vast hole in the universe that can never really be filled. I am devastated that I will never hear her laugh again, or be able to overhear the great advice, joy & see the relief on a pt’s face because of what she has done for them. This isn’t even close to enough space to speak about her. We became friends instantly on meeting, & she made every person’s life better who she met. On a cloudy day, she would always make the sun shine& the stars laugh!! Bonnie,  the world, your grandsons & I are really going to miss you. Like

I knew Bonnie from the morning swims at the Haven Beach Club.  She was one to make you smile (or laugh) with her stories.  She was a bright spot on those early mornings

Bonnie was a very special person. She always made me laugh and was fun to be around. She loved talking about Andrew and Luke and their many adventures with sports. She will be dearly missed! So sorry for your loss Gary and Vicki.

Bonnie did alot for other people and she did so with a giving heart..We did healthy bones and  Family Promise and we enjoyed Reubens and Mexican food..We all have memories of Bonnie and  these are just a few of mine.

Growing up I knew Bonnie from swimming at the Haven Beach Club. She was always smiling ready to tell me all about her grandsons and how proud she was of them. As the years went on, Andrew and Luke started coming to the pool and all of us would swim and hang out together. Bonnie would visit me at work every morning and catch me up on what was going on with the family and tell me how grateful she was to have so many positive people around her. Her hilarious jokes that still make me laugh when I think about them, and positive attitude will always be with me as I go back to the club every summer. Love and miss you Bonnie. You were one and million ❤️

LOVED seeing all of you ❤️  even under the circumstances. Bonnie was like a second mom to me growing up. I cherish all of our memories together as kids. Your mom seemed to make ordinary days into adventures! Craft shows at the St. Francis Church, Blue Angels Air Show, Great Adventure, Vacation Bible School, swimming in cedar creek, singing in the back seat of your Cadillac, New York City, Macungie, Holiday Snack Bar, Germany!! And the best ever Barbie set up in your dad’s office. Thank you Bonnie for making us laugh and teaching  us to be good people. ❤️

Blessings to all in memory of Bonnie, who was a fixture on LBI. My relationship with this wonderful spark plug is pretty recent and through our mutual volunteer work with Compassion Cafe.  Bonnie supported our mission, volunteered her time and energy, and will always be part of the fabulous foundation and tradition of Compassion Cafe. I trust she and her family know how well she served a grateful community.

Bonnie and I had so much fun together from graduating from nursing  school to our many ski trips love and miss you my dear friend.

Bonnie was like nobody else I knew or will ever know. I grew up with her kids, but it wasn't until I lived out of state for many years and moved back to LBI that I got to know her. She worked for the Ocean County Board of Elections for many years and was a fixture at my polling place, the Terrace Church. She was the first familiar face I saw when I moved back here, and she was so active I kept seeing her -- at the Acme, church potlucks, craft shows, town meetings, etc. She seemed tireless! She encouraged me and my mom to volunteer for Compassion Cafe; we did. In her early 80s, she helped take care of an older neighbor, walking over every day to help the live-in get her out of bed, bathed & dressed. In her final months, she kept inquiring after my mom, a friend since the '70s who was having a rough year. LBI needs more people like Bonnie, but we won't see her kind here again.
