Troy was born in Richwood on April 13, 1964. He was a 1982 graduate of DuPont High School. He was retired from United States Postal Service and was an Army Veteran and a member of the 82 Airborne Division for which he was very proud. He was a member of Spring Fork Missionary Baptist Church and loved computer gaming with all his friends.
Troy was preceded in death by his parents, Fredrick and Donna Jean Collins Finlen; sister, Mona Woods; brother, James Lindsay; Linda Kessler and Doug Kessler; and his pets who were his babies, Bear, Jasper, Spunky, Tigger and Shada.
Surviving are his loving wife, Sherry Woods Finlen; their babies, Molly, Chloe, Charlie and Zoey; sisters, Emma Keyser of White Sulphur Springs, Shannon (Jason) Holliday of Belle, Elizabeth Burdette of Tampa, Florida; brothers, Robert and John Lindsay, both of Columbus, Ohio; Robert Kessler of Ronceverte and Rich Kessler of Belle; brother-in-law, Michael (Stephanie) Woods of Belle; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 27, 2024, at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden, with Pastor Mike Long officiating. Burial with Military Rites will follow at Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens, Glasgow.
A visitation with family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service.
