Sherry was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Captola Fisher; and sister, Clara Armstrong.
Sherry is survived by her loving husband, Jon; her children, Debbie Kennedy (Lemmy) of Boca Raton Florida, Tang Ney (Lisa) of Stamping Ground Kentucky, Janci Baker of Columbia, South Carolina, and Brandon Youell of Charleston; grandchildren, Krissi Ellis (Scott) of Charleston, Katelyn Smith (Adam) of Birmingham, Alabama, Chance Whitt of Boca Raton, Florida, and Sydnea, Eli, Lilly and Mason of Charleston, Justin Ney (Shel) of California, Jennifer Ney of Stamping Ground, Kentucky, Taylor Ney (Ashley) of Charleston South Carolina, Jeb Baker(Sierra) of Honolulu, Hawaii, and Jarett Baker (Kristin) of Fort Bragg, North Carolina; mother-in-law, Lucy C. Youell; siblings; Kay Skaggs of Ohio and Sandra (Butch) Iemma; brothers and sisters-in-law, Wayne Armstrong of Virginia and Thomas Youell of Belle, Annie Nelson of Charleston and Linda Taylor of Saint Albans; great-grandchildren; Cole, Jaxson, Gavin, Caelen, Kathryn and Aiden; along with many nieces, nephews and close friends.
Sherry was born in Mahan. West Virginia, grew up in Cedar Grove and was a graduate of Cedar Grove High School. She retired from Appalachian Power Company after 20 years of service. Sherry enjoyed her many trips to the beach, but her greatest love was her family.
The funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 9, 2017, at Stevens and Grass Funeral Home with Father Joe Augustine officiating. The interment will follow the service at Montgomery Memorial Park, London.
A gathering of family and friends will be two hours prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Alzheimer’s Society and Kanawha-Charleston Humane Association.
