He was born September 14, 1947 to the late Lewis Marshall McDaniel and Pearl May (Adkins) Halstead.
Also preceding him in death were his sister, Vonna Dangerfield; brothers, William, James and Carl McDaniel.
Richard was a US Army veteran having served during the Vietnam conflict. He was a retired Coal Miner and a Chemical Operator for Bayer Crop Science. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his daughter, Ann Marie Iarossi of Lake Stevens, WA; his grandchildren, Ashley Riffe, Kara Riffe, Justin Riffe and Adam Iarossi.
A memorial service will be 7:00pm, Friday April 8, 2022 at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden with Celebrant H.R. Whittington presiding. There will be a gathering of family and friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Friday.
