Richard Lee Carnes

Richard, fondly known as "Big Un" by many, was the youngest son of William and Ethel Carnes. He was the proud owner of a small business, the R.L. Carnes Tool Company. Richard loved working with his hands and was accomplished in masonry, carpentry, and furniture-making. He was passionate about education and loved reading and the symphony.

Richard was predeceased by his aforementioned parents; his wife, Wanda (O'Dell) Carnes; his daughter, Candeth Riley; and his sister-in-law, Twila J. O'Dell. Richard is survived by his daughter, Denice Esterly; and his grandchildren, Anthony Riley (son of Candeth and Tony Riley) and Paul and Lilyana Esterly (children of Denice and Henry Esterly.)

A visitation will be held Monday, March 13, 2023 at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the ASPCA or other charity in Richard's name.
