Paul was the most intelligent man I ever knew, and I traveled the world in different positions. I attended conferences of various organizations, so I can say with knowledge that Paul was unique.
Paul and I went back sixty years and worked on some challenging projects; most were in dangerous coal and salt mining situations.
Paul and I were pilots; the only thing I believed I was better at because I had military training.
Here is how different Paul was. I always hired Paul when I had to teach classes as mining required training and retraining; I remember one time I will never forget. I had Paul come to Morton Salt in Weeks Island, Louisiana, to teach part of my class; I taught all but the safety part. After Paul’s part of the class was over, this Cajun came up to us. He shook Paul’s hand and said, Mr. I have been working underground here for thirty years, and this is the first time I understood what my safety device was used for and how to use it. Can you imagine a person working in a dangerous place and job who didn’t know what the life-saving device he carried meant and how to use it? That was how special Paul was; he could get down in the dirt and explain something plain and simple that even the less knowledgeable could understand. Why? Paul was a brilliant engineer, and what set him apart from the rest of us was that he had common sense; many engineers are intelligent but don’t have common sense. I’m an Electrical Engineer, but I was not on the same level as Paul; I know no one who is. Paul was a simple man whom anyone could like and respect, and he was kind, helpful, and respectable to others. 
Paul and I were kindred spirits; I loved him and called him brother. Now, Paul is at rest and in the hands of our Lord. God bless my brother.

I first meet Paul at church. We hit it off from the start with things we had in common.  He was always so full of Joy and wisdom.  I loved to listen to him. From fishing with him in Steamboat at the FOT, to woodworking in his basement,  and having him for dinners many times. I will always cherish the memories of my dear friend and him saying on the phone as soon as we connected,  " lets go fishin". He will be missed greatly. Our condolences to Paul's family and friends.

He always loves to go shooting with me. That was one of his past times that he loved. I will miss him so much. I love him from the bottom of my heart. I will miss you, Paul Price now you can actually see God.
