Nancy Sue Walker

Nancy was born at Dana, WV on March 30, 1939 to the late Charles O. and Ruby C. Fleck Johnson. She was a 1956 graduate of DuPont High School. After graduation her first job was with the Diamond Department Store. She then went to work and retired as a Teacher/Cook at Good Shepherd Day Care, Charleston. She was a member of the Dry Branch Community Church.

Along with her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Gary Marshall Walker Sr.; daughter, Leah Blake; brother, John Charles Johnson.

Nancy is survived by her sons, Gary Marshall (Mary) Walker Jr. of South Charleston, Charles David (Missie) Walker of Alum Creek; son-in-law, Jimmy Blake of Charleston; sister, Gloria Foreman of Columbia, SC; grandchildren, Trey and Zac Walker, Sabra Blake, Joshua and Brandon Walker, Jordan Blake and Timmy Walker; great grandchildren, Gracie Sky Walker and Avery Blake; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday December 6, 2022 at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden with Pastors Ron Armstrong and Dana Clay officiating. Burial will follow at Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.

A visitation with family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service.

The family would like to thank CAMC Memorial Hospital, CAMC Cancer Center and Dr. Cohen and Staff, Genesis Health Care and Rehabilitation and Hubbard Hospice House for their love and care given to Nancy.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be sent to Hubbard Hospice House, 1001 Curtis Price Way, Charleston, WV 25311.
