Mildred Owens Stevens, 91, of Charleston, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 21, 2015, at the Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston after a short illness. Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Stevens; her mother, Lottie Owens; and her brothers, Carl, Harold and Raymond Owens. She is survived by her sister, Dolores Owens (Paul) Kelly of Charleston; and also several nieces and nephews. Mildred has lived the past three years at Sweetbriar Assisted Living. Mildred was retired from Mountaineer Gas. The funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 24, 2015, at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden, with Minister Alan Owens officiating. The entombment will follow the service in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes. The visitation with family and friends will be one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
