She was preceded in death by her father, Tilden Haley; mother, Beulah Haley; husband, Marvin Crowder; brothers, Glenn and Tommy Haley; great-granddaughters, Casey Ann Crowder and Lexie Nicole Crowder.
Mary Ann retired from the Charleston Family YMCA Daycare. Her favorite times were spent working in her yard planting flowers, trimming her fruit trees and enjoying her yard displays, thanks to David and Marilyn Cobb. Her grandchildren gave her the most purpose in life. She spent most of her days chasing them around her yard.
Those left to cherish her loving memory are her sons, Carl (Debbie) Crowder, and Philip (Amanda) Crowder, both of Charleston; grandchildren, Carly (Andrew) Wilson of Mississippi, Katie (Craig) Thomas of Pinch, Corey Crowder, Christopher, Kaleb, Khloe and Kevin, all of Charleston; great-grandchildren, Ellie Mae and Owen Thomas of Pinch; sister, Lenora "Susan" Hood of Lorain, OH.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Melissa Smith of Right At Home Healthcare and her other caregivers for making her final days possible to spend at home. Also, a special thank you to Ann Landers for all the help scheduling the home care.
A Private Family Funeral Service will be 1:00 pm, Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden with Reverend Scott Means officiating. Burial will follow at Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.
A Private Family Visitation will be from 12:00 pm until time of service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that if you still have your mother, please do something nice for her.
