He was born July 14, 1938 to the late Kenneth and Mae Pittman.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Lena, Helen and Elsie; brothers, Paul, Clarence, Frank and Ralph. He is survived by sisters, Macel Shaffer, Inza Morton, Mildred Crowder all of Charleston, and Carol (Suzie) Vaughan of South Carolina; many nieces and nephews; wife, Dollie Pittman; step-children, Ronnie Short, Connie Hairston, Bonnie Hudson and Reverend Donnie “Okie” Short.
Funeral service will be held 1:00p.m., Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden. Burial will follow at the Pittman Family Cemetery, Charleston.
Visitation will be from 11:00a.m. until time of service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
