James "Jimmy" Gunnoe

Jim was born in Charleston on August 31, 1940. He was a former employee of American Optical. Jim collected record albums and baseball cards. He loved his family and was the best papaw to his 7 grandchildren.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Goldie and Harvey Gunnoe; and brother-in- law, Carol Gaines.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years Yvonne; children, Elaine Robinson (Rick), Vicki Jones (Scott), Brian Gunnoe (Jennifer) and Kelly Gunnoe; grandchildren, Yvonne Hudson (Ashley), Cameron Robinson, Olivia Hough (Dave), Brooke Nida (Josh), Kara Snodgrass (Zach), Ben Snodgrass (Vera) and Alex Snodgrass (Kara).

In addition he is survived by his sisters, Carolyn Gaines and Beverly Belcher (David) along with several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Charleston Healthcare Center (Stonerise) for their kind and compassionate care.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden, with Pastor Mike Long officiating. Burial will follow at Montgomery Memorial Park, London.

A visitation with family and friends will be two hours prior to the service.
