David Marcus Norman, 71, of Campbells Creek went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 24, 2016, at CAMC Memorial Hospital. David was born in Charleston on March 21, 1945 to the late William Dana and Irene Kinser Norman. He was a truck driver and a member of the Teamsters Local 84. He was a member of the Big Bottom Missionary Baptist Church. David loved his family and loved spending time with his children. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Roger and Wayne Norman. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, wife, Myla Wentz Norman; son, Scott (Terri) Norman of Charleston; daughter, Missy (fiancé, Rick Young) Buckley of Charleston; sister, Wanda (Harvey) Clendenin of Charleston; step-sons, Chad Bays and Craig (Cindy) Bays, all of Charleston; grandchildren, Hunter, Kennedy, Cari, Nikkie, Taylor, Jacob, Joshua and Luke; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 29, 2016, at Big Bottom Missionary Baptist Church, Tad, with the Rev. Fred Christian and the Rev. Larry Campbell officiating. the burial will follow the service at Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes. A visitation with family and friends will be held Wednesday, December 28, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden.
