Brenda was born at Sharon on November 16, 1950, to the late Floyd and Drema Rankin Brewer. She was a member of the Hughes Creek Church of God; an artist and an avid outdoors person and loved to take care of her horse, Shadow.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, David Brewer.
Brenda is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Harold “Rusty” Smith; son, Gregg Smith of Charleston; granddaughter, Lillyana Smith; brother, Eugene Brewer of Rhonda; beloved cousin, Karen Brewer Bright of Sissonville; and a host of other friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden, with the Rev. JB Lee officiating. Burial will follow at Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery, Dunbar.
A visitation with family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service.
