Alice Rose Pauley

She was born on April 2, 1936 in Charleston to the late Charlie and Helen Marie Alford Whitlock.

Alice was a former clerk with 15 years of service for the WV State Employment Security and she attended the Rand First Church of The Nazarene.

Alice was a homemaker and a loving wife and mother.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Dorothy Petry, Betty Young and Delores Ann Whitlock and brothers, Russell and Charles Whitlock.

Alice is survived by her husband of 49 years, Elmer W. Pauley; son, Dennis (Sheletta) Pauley of Charleston; daughter, Cynthia (Sean) Patrick of St. Albans; and five grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 22, 2016, at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden, with Pastor Gordon Killion Jr. officiating. The burial will follow the service with at Graceland Memorial Park, South Charleston.

Family and friends will gather for a visitation one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
