Virginia McKenna Hubbard

Virginia McKenna Hubbard, 90, of Madison Heights, passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at her residence. She was the wife of the late James Edward “Ed” Hubbard. Born November 23, 1932 in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late William Edmund McKenna and Lena Crouch McKenna. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Chris McKenna and Phillip McKenna. Mrs. Hubbard was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and homemaker. She was a member of Westview Baptist Church. Mrs. Hubbard is survived by three daughters, Cindy Lacks and husband David of Campbell County, Pat Angus and husband Jimmy, and Sandy Brown and husband Terry, both of Madison Heights; a sister, Dot Dunn of Lynchburg; six grandchildren, Lisa Ramsey (Jay), Jan Powell (Brian), Christy Apperson (Richard), Chris Lacks (Sherry), Taylor McGarry (Nicholas), and Trenton Brown; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 p.m., Friday, April 14, 2023 at Whitten Monelison Chapel and other times at the home of her daughter, Pat, 264 Oak Grove Drive, Madison Heights, VA. A funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 15, 2023 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with Pastor Jonathan Falwell officiating.
