Susan Tomlin Cash, 59, of Monroe, passed away Saturday, November 1, 2014, at her residence. Born February 26, 1955, in Big Island, she was the daughter of Rachel Burford Tomlin and the late James Lacey Tomlin.
Susan was the Director of Day Support for the ARC of Central Virginia. She was of the Baptist faith. Susan was a loving daughter, mother, sister, aunt and grandmother.
In addition to her mother, Susan is survived by three children, Caitlin Craig and her fiancé Ian Adam of Virginia Beach, Joshua Craig and his girlfriend Bella Cortes of Monroe and James Isaac Dooley and his wife Melissa of Big Island; seven siblings, Deborah McDaniel and her husband George of Big Island, Pam Turner and her husband Mark of Naola, Gretchen Croft and her husband Steve of Big Island, Joey Tomlin and his wife Susan of Big Island, Mike Tomlin and his wife Mardi of Big Island, Andrea Tomlin of Big Island and Michelle Marks and her husband Robert of Fincastle; three grandchildren, Seth Dooley, Alexander Dooley and Trinity King; a special love, Mike and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be conducted, 6:00 p.m., Thursday, November 6, 2014, at Whitten Monelison Chapel with the Rev. Barry Tucker officiating. The family will receive friends following the service until 7:30 p.m.
