Sophia Lee Brown

To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.

Sophia was born to the late Henry and Cora Ellen Clark of Irish Creek. She was preceded in death by her husband Jesse Allen Brown, son: Kenneth Ray Brown, daughters: Patsy Brown Martin and Susan Brown Woody, and granddaughters: Gail Pacharis and Angela Brown.

Sophia leaves behind 2 sons: Robert Brown (Sandy) of Sinking Springs, PA, Larry Brown (Laura) of Amherst, VA; 3 daughters: Margaret Pacharis of Reading, PA, Ellen Campbell (Billy) of St. Petersburg, FL, Deborah Campbell (Clayton) of Amherst, VA.

She also leaves behind 18 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews, and also many other beloved family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 2-3:45 p.m., Sunday, September 21, 2013 at Bethel Baptist Church. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 4:00 p.m. with the Rev. Dave Peters officiating. The church will be providing a meal at the church following the service.

A family graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 23, 2013 at Green Hill Cemetery in Buena Vista.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider the Bethel Baptist Church Bus Ministry Fund.
