Born on January 3, 1954, in Lynchburg, Virginia, she was the daughter of Alonza Samuel and Charlotte Hartless Lee.
Sandra attended 3 years at Amherst County High School, and was a graduate from Woodrow Wilson High School in Washington DC (Class of 1972). She also attended Radford University. Sandra spent 18 years in Washington DC where she was employed in the hospitality industry at the Washington Hilton and the Watergate Hotel before moving to Nasswadox, VA and then returning to Lynchburg.
Sandra loved animals, cooking, and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents in 2012 and her sister, Joan Linwood Lee Glasser (Richard Glasser) in 2021.
Sandra is survived by her daughter, Natalie Pruitt of Richmond, VA, her sister, Theresa Lee Brennan (Dan Brennan) of Youngsville, NC, along with her nephew, Alex Morris, and her niece, Anna Brennan; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family is eternally grateful for the care Sandra received, over the last year, provided by the doctors and nurses at VCU Medical Center in Richmond.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00pm, Monday June 19th, at Whitten Monelison Chapel with the Rev. Barbara Watts officiating.
The family will receive friends and family for one hour prior to the service, beginning at 1:00pm.
