She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Lena Ramsey and her adoptive parents, Earl and Netterville Brandt; husband Henry G. Martin, seven siblings, her sons, Charlie Martin, Jeff Martin and Chris Martin and her daughter, Patricia Johns.
She is survived by her children, Linda Martin, John Martin, Scott Martin (Brenda), Peggy Jones (Joey); her sister Delores Spontak; son-in-law Percy Johns; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to being a homemaker and caring for her large family, she was a substitute teacher and bus driver for Amherst County Schools. In addition to that, Ginny and her husband were cross country tractor trailer team drivers for many years.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, her large historical country home and land, horse boarding, yard sales, antiques and especially her family heirlooms.
She and her husband were members of Bethany United Methodist Church in Monroe and she attended St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Amherst in her most recent years.
A family celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
