Born December 1, 1959 at Fort Bragg, NC, he was the son of the late Robert Jutson Martin, III and Charlene Dorr Dunaway. Forrest was employed by Express Lane Convenience Stores.
Forrest is survived by his fiancée and soul mate, Nancy Proffitt Stowe of Madison Heights; a brother, Todd Martin of Lynchburg; a sister, Donna Klein and husband Eric of Gladys; step-father, Jim Dunaway of Lynchburg; three step-brothers, Dennis Dunaway of Evington, Paul Dunaway of Lynchburg, and Stephen Dunaway of Appomattox; two aunts, Sandy Mason of Gladys and Debbie Proffitt of Lynchburg; uncle, Wayne Door of Lynchburg and niece and nephew, Sarah and Christopher Klein.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with Pastor Chad Harris officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at Whitten Monelison Chapel.
