Mary Louise Maddox

Mary Louise Maddox, of Amherst, passed unexpectedly on Friday, October 6, 2023. Mary was born on September 12, 1946, and lived in Alexandria, Virginia for most of her life before moving to Amherst. Mary was predeceased by her husband, William Fred Maddox, her parents, Floyd and Mary Rogers, her daughter Tina Marie, stepdaughter Tammy Maddox, and her sister Delores Bell among other family. Mary is survived by her two sons, six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, nephew, and great nephew along with an abundance of extended family and friends. Mary helped a great deal with her late husband’s business – F&K Contractors in Amherst for 34 years. In addition to this business Mary was a member of AMF and gave much of her time to the youth program for several years. Mary spent much of her free time gardening, cooking, and enjoying music. Services are still being planned at this time.
