Born in Madison Heights on May 22, 1918 she was a daughter of the late William McCoy Wilkerson and Mary Stinnette Wilkerson. She was a member of Sandy Bottom Christian Church and The Rebecca’s
In addition to her husband and parents she is preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Jean; a great-granddaughter, Lauran Ware Branham and five siblings, William Wilkerson, Charles Wilkerson, Harry Wilkerson, James Wilkerson and Mary Lee.
She is survived by her children, Patricia Moss and husband Joe of Madison Heights and Carolyn Johnson-Thompson and husband Carlton of Spout Springs; and 6 grandchildren Don Johnson (Tracy), Kendall Johnson (Roxanna), Jody Thomas (John), Janette Thomas (Clayton), Jacqueline Fitzgerald, and Jennifer Fielder (Emmett); 14 great-grandchildren, 13 great great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Marjorie Wilkerson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 pm Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with Pastor Jim Freeman officiating. Burial will follow in Meade Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service starting at 1:00 pm.
