Obituary of Louise Oliver Tyree
Louise Oliver Tyree, 91, of Salem, formerly of Madison Heights passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at Richfield Retirement Community in Salem. She was the wife of the late Frank Leslie Tyree, Jr. Born November 17, 1920 in Lynchburg, she was a daughter of the late John and Maude Oliver. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Monroe Known to her family as Nanny, she is survived by two sons, Les Tyree (Barbara) of Quinton, David Tyree (Stephanie) of Roanoke; daughter, Alice Denny (David) of Chesapeake; sister, Katherine Crickenberger (Herbert) of Forest; Grandchildren, Katherine Ford(Frank), Christopher Tyree (Melanie), Sam Tyree (Lisa), Ross Tyree (Kirsten), Ashley Morles (Marcus), Jessie, Nathan, Jonathan Denny and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she is also preceded in death by three brothers, and five sisters. A Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 10, 2011 in Whitten Monelison Chapel conducted by the Rev. Glynn A.Coleman. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Friday, December 9, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Nanny will always be remembered by her family for her mac & cheese and her biscuits that she made on every holiday and for all the love and kindness she has shown to family, friends and church family.
