OBITUARY
Lori Jean Hall
July 19, 1971 – April 14, 2023
IN THE CARE OF
Whitten Monelison Chapel
We sadly announce the passing of Lori Jean Hall on Friday, April 14, 2023 at the age of 51. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Warren Earl Hall and Dorothy Hall (Momma Dot) and J. Paul Jones and Mabel Jones.
Lori was born in Lynchburg, Virginia on July 19, 1971, to Wayne and Louise Hall. She grew up in Madison Heights, Virginia and graduated from Amherst County High School in 1989. She completed her associate degree at Lynchburg Community College in 1992 and worked for the former Simplimatic Engineering Company of Lynchburg.
Diagnosed with multiple sclerosis at the age of 23, Lori never let her decreasing mobility impact her passion for life. She loved reading, Hallmark movies, bird watching, and time with family. When able, she participated in programs like aqua aerobics and equestrian therapy. She attended Common Ground Cowboy Church and rarely missed the special musical performers. She was also a member of Sandy Bottom Christian Church.
She’ll forever be “our baby girl.”
Lori is survived by her parents, her brother Patrick Hall of Madison Heights, sister Karen Ferguson, brother-in-law Jeffrey Ferguson, nephew Justin Ferguson of Orlando and niece Hallie Ferguson of Gainesville, her cat, Boo, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
The family would like to thank the many home care providers and the staff at Lynchburg General Hospital for Lori’s care.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at Whitten Monelison Chapel followed by a Celebration of Life at 12:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to your favorite charity or to a memorial fund in Lori’s name at the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (https://mssociety.donordrive.com/campaign/Lori-Hall-Memorial-Fund).
