Many fond memories of Eula.   FiyI knew Euna was through my sister in law , Ruth Saunders White.   Later when doing water aerobics at downtown YMCA  I became a close with Euna.   Many good times with a lovely lady.  She will be missed by many.   Evelyn Saunders

Eula was a very faithful member of First Baptist Church of Monroe and a hard worker in so many ministries.  She will always be in the hearts of many people here at her church. We will forever cherish the memories we shared with Eula. My prayers go out to the family.

Eula was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Monroe which is where our paths crossed.  We travelled together on many church trips.  I was honored to call her my friend.  She is now with our Lord along with her faithful husband.

Eula was such a good friend to my mother- in- law, Doris Campbell. The Campbell family loved sharing memories of growing up with the influential trio of Eula Martin,  Opal Godsey and Doris Campbell. They made many memories together and were always spoken of very fondly. May you rest in peace Eula.

In 4th grade I wrote an essay on a person I greatly admired.  I wrote about Eula Martin. Throughout my life, Eula remained that greatly admired woman.  She was a devout Christian, being a pillar of First Baptist Church of Monroe, VA, and incredibly wonderful friend of our mother, Opal Godsey. Eula made the tiniest but best country ham biscuits I ever tasted and great pickles. She was a true inspiration and greatly loved by friends and family. She was predeceased by her husband Calvin. her parents and sisters and many friends who are rejoicing at her arrival in Heaven. Family members left to cherish Eula's memory include her son C.T. Martin II, four grandchildren, Carrie Collins of Hilton Head, S.C., Christine Brodhagen of Roswell, Ga., Peter Martin and Jeffrey Martin, both of Crewe; three great-grandchildren, Martha and Sallie Collins and Aiden Martin; two nephews, Carroll T. Mitchell of Troutville,  and Louis Proffitt of Ruckersville.

What a big influence in my life.  Eula was like my second Mother.  You could drop in on her anytime and get a snack maybe even a slice of her chocolate pie.  I loved her pies!  You could also get a lot of encouragement from her and words of wisdom!!  

Eula, Doris Campbell, and my mother, Opal Godsey had a very tight bond that they passed onto me.  The final one of the “BigThree” are now all together again!  Have Fun!!

My Mom, Ellen Hopkins thought of Eula as a great friend and my brother, Bob, used to take her over for visits when she moved from her Monroe home. 
Eula will be greatly missed, but is with her beloved Calvin again.

Eula was well known to my grandparents, Reverend Sam Crawford and Stella Crawford,  and helped them build First Baptist Church of Monroe into a place of worship. She was always involved in numerous church activities and was a friend to many.

Eula has been in my life since I was about 11 years old. She was always a fixture at First Baptist Church of Monroe and has offered guidance to so many of us. 
My family visited with her as she moved and she was always appreciative of the visits.
Eula loved going out to the Ice Cream Parlor.
She always had the sweetest smile and never said an unkind word about anyone.
